Macarena teaches from the heart, guided by intuitive and embodied experience. Her classes unfold organically around creative sequences grounded in the connection between movement and breath.
In a Somatic Yoga class, the pace is slow and intentional, allowing a deeper awareness of breath and movement in a fluid, connected way. We gently build mobility through the spine, hips, and shoulders, moving from the ground up and returning to it with ease.
Somatic Yoga offers an alternative approach to mobility by supporting nervous system regulation and restoring movement in areas where we may feel stuck or experience pain.
This practice is especially supportive for those experiencing high levels of stress from work or family demands, as well as physical or mental tension — including those recovering from injury — and ideal for anyone seeking to reconnect with their body in a meaningful, compassionate way.
